hello and welcome to the studio

I’m a Bay Area artist who loves expressing myself through color, whether it’s designing on the computer or drawing and painting by hand.

By day, I’m a Senior Art Director at a large tech company, which keeps me pretty busy concepting and designing for all sorts of fun conferences and events.

However, a few years ago I developed a strong urge to start painting—which I hadn't done since earning my BFA at the Cleveland Institute of Art. I started taking classes at Marin Art School, with an instructor that focused on the colorist method (a style which fit perfectly with my love of bold, saturated colors) and found a renewed passion for oils.

Shortly thereafter, I discovered a stationary company called Minted and began entering their competitions in my free time. Through their partnerships (and my newly acquired painting skills) I've had the opportunity to sell my work through Target, West Elm, Pottery Barn Kids, Minted.com and Minted’s retail store in San Francisco. I've also spotted my artwork in magazines, advertisements and on blogs. And I get a kick out of seeing my artwork in the wild. Every. Single. Time.
